Cody Shumway  - HEAD CHEF

 

As the Executive Chef of Surf Club Ocean Grill (or Wyndham VB, which ever) it has been my pleasure to serve our local North Enders and our many traveling guests. I strive to provide a dining experience that is both unique and memorable, which is made quite easy with our breath taking ocean views and always lively restaurant. I find my inspiration from other local Chefs, and more importantly by listening to my guests.

When not creating culinary treats I enjoy spending my time with my dog Zoey, Going to the beach, kayaking, hiking and checking out the local scene for trendy new foods and our amazing live music venues. 

Daniel Partain- EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF

 

My name is  Dan Partain I am the Executive Sous Chef. I have worked in restaurants in Virginia Beach for about 10 years. I have been at Surf club a little over 3 years. I have had the chance to work along side some amazing chefs. I am a huge foodie I spend my time away from here checking out new restaurant and trying to find inspiration for new dishes. I also spend my free time playing music. I dive deep into creativity and all ways look for new ways to teach and motivate others. Very excited to be here at Surf Club. Great food, Great drinks, Great people.

Grant Meyers- FOOD & BEVERAGE DIRECTOR

 

Grant Meyers has worked at the Oceanfront for 15 years and the last 4 years here at Surf Club. I really enjoy being centered in the middle of the NorthEnd of Virginia Beach. I have been lucky enough to meet some really nice people that live in the surrounding neighborhood and being apart of their lives. When I'm not here focusing on the business I like to spend my spare time golfing and checking out the scenes at other local establishments up and down the Oceanfront. The potential for Surf Club is endless and I'm happy to be apart of the team to really showcase what we can do.

Charlie Kerr- RESTAURANT MANAGER

 

I’m Charlie Kerr Restaurant Manager, I joined the team here at Surf Club 2 years ago with 13 years’ experience in the restaurant business, and am really enjoining my time here at the North End of the oceanfront. A lifelong resident of Va. Beach I have been fortunate to have met many great people over the years especially in restaurants. I enjoy going out to other establishments in the area in my off time and trying new places as well as many of the old favorites. I’m a huge supporter of the local music scene and have had the chance to play music with some amazing musicians as well. I have been very fortunate to have made many friends in the music scene and have gladly taken over the booking of our music here at Surf Club. I also spend a lot of time in my garage that has become a motorcycle shop, designing and building bikes.
